Pioneer VSX 1022 K - No subwoofer bass when using Ipod/USB input

I've been struggling with the settings on my Pioneer VSX 1022-K. I have a Polk PSW10 subwoofer that runs fine on all other inputs (Sat/Cab, Game, DVD, etc), but it won't give me anything on ipod/usb. I have my ipad hooked up threw the USB port on the front of the reciever. The sound and bass coming from my Polk Tsi400 speakers is great, but nothing from the subwoofer.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Couldn't find anything by searching.

What size do you have your speakers set to? Do you have your internal crossover set on the receiver? At what level? Do you have your subwoofer output set to crossover+LFE? I'm not sure what all the settings are inside the Pioneer, but it sounds like you may need to peel off the low end from the USB stereo source to feed the subwoofer.

On yamahas you need to set "bass: both" (both as opposed to either "main" or "subwoofer") to get 2 channels sources to use the subwoofer. Look for a similar setting and see if that works for you.

Fixed it by going into the speaker settings and changing my front(polk tsi400s) to "small" instead of "large"...which i'm assuming was hogging the bass channel.

Thanks so much for the input. The "2 channel" keyword was what I was looking for to figure it out.

THANKS!
