Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K for $480

Newegg.com has the Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K for $480 with free shipping until August 4. Onecall.com also has the 1018 on sale this weekend, but for $519.

Although I wouldn't buy a receiver from Newegg (based on the way that all my computer geared has come packed), I appreciate the photos of the 1018 that they have on their site. Much more detail than the normal brochure glamour shots. Also, local stores may very well match their price.

Good deal for someone looking to replace their AVR. I ended up going with the Denon 1909 over this one for about the same price. I probably won't miss the pre-outs and am looking forward to what Audessey can do for my room.

Nice unit, in past years Pioneer always served me well. I can't justify making the change, but it's nice to see Pioneer still making quality pieces.

That's a good deal. Got mine a week ago at Best Buy. Found a nice sales guy who helped me out with a price match at $475 (best price I found a week ago).
