Pioneer VSX 1015TX Rear Channel Problems

Long awaited (2 weeks SEEMS long) Pioneer arrived.. ripped out the old setup and rearranged everything to accomodate the new.

connections went well.. easy to assign via menu.. and set the Mic out and kicked in the auto setup.. rear surround ERROR.. hmm.. redid and switched all the wires aroung.. still ERROR..
went into Manual setup and found the left tones coming from the left rear speaker.. however, the right tones come out of BOTH the left and right rear speakers..

anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like a defective unit. I would send it back to avoid the headache. Mine has been working fine, and I've never had a problem like that. If you've verified that you do indeed have all your cable connections right, then iot's definitely the receiver.

Thanks guys.. was afraid it might be a wide spread problem, making me contemplate changing brands, although I really like the Pio..
