Pioneer v-815-k S-video troubles

Hi!

I recently purchased a Pioneer v-815-k (with much thanks given to your buying guides for information) and now have it all hooked up successfully. All audio in's and out's work perfectly, including the DVD's digital hookup (first time I have messed with digital).

My question is directed at the video, however, as I have never tried to do video through a receiver before. I figured out how to change the sound inputs for DVD from analog to digital relatively easily, but how do I change the inputs for DVD from component to s-Video ins? I

have looked all the way through the manual twice now, and can find no instruction. I played with the receiver for about an hour as well to no avail. I thought maybe since this site reviewed the receiver I could probably get some guidance around these parts. I realize that this is low-end for you guys, and you probably have no personal experience with this receiver, but maybe there is a general way to accomplish this on many receivers?

Thanks for any help you can give! :p

try this

Do you have a s-video cable coming from your monitor out on your receiver going into an input on your tv

I do not. In the manual, it says that this is not a requisite. There is like a table that looks like this:
Input
RCA S-video Component
RCA x x
S-video x x
Component x

'x' being what works...and the ones on the left being outputs. Is it wrong? Or is there a point to me hooking up with S-video? (I would still like to hook up with S-video anyway, however, as my HTPC hooks up this way as well.)

EDIT: Also, my TV has no S-video input.
