Pioneer Sub, Volume Control

I have a Pioneer Sub, that came with my vsx519. On the reciever i have set the Xover to 80hz(the lowest is will go) and on the Subwoofer itself theres a dial which reads 50hz to 200hz and i have put this about a 3rd round to get it to 80-90hz or so. I also have a volume dial, should this be turned onto full ?

No, the Volume should be at 1/2 or less and the x-over on the sub at its highest setting, 200Hz.

THanks a million guys. I was reading the bass guide thinking they both need to be. Will do the changes.
