Pioneer Steps Up!

I saw this quote on another thread

Well I have only heard about new models from Pioneer (this link actually).
Looking at the specks of the new VSX - AX2AS - S one sees HDMI switching and 1080p Ready / Video scaler.

I wonder has anyone seen any more info on this?

I will never criticize pioneers inclusion of features (except the "MCACC" which isnt impressive) however their engineering, sound and build quality i would easily question when compared to Marantz, Denon, NAD or HK

The Elites compare just fine to those brands...All sub $2000 receivers will have pros and cons..
