Pioneer Receiver Troubleshooting help, please

Hi!

I have a Pioneer VSX-3700S (yup, it's old) and it randomly shuts off. We can turn it on again and sometimes it'll stay on, and sometimes it'll shut off again. Usually after a few times it'll stay on for the duration, but it's just really annoying. And we never know when it'll happen, so I doubt it's an overheating problem.

Also, sometimes it decides not to respond to any of the switches on the receiver itself or the remote.

Anyone have any ideas before I spend way too much to take it to a shop?

Thanks so much!
