Hey guys don't know how many have experience with this but I will give it a go see what you can come up with. I have an LG 42' TV (42LG30) that is 720P and a Pioneer VSX-819 receiver I recently purchased and began to set up my inputs. I plugged in my Asus O!Play HD media player (asus's wdtv basically) into my receiver and it works great, video and audio and I enjoy the product. Although I have one issue. I have multiple HDMI inputs (sat tv/bluray/o!play) going into my receiver. When I bought my o!play I configured it in the o!play setup for 720p and it looks sharp. However whenever I switch the input to say satellite then switch back to my o!play, the o!play shows a 480p in green in the top left corner then automatically switches the resolution to that. If I go back into setup it doesnt give me the option to pick 720p again, just auto hdmi and 480p. The only way to fix it is to power down the o!play then power it back on. Then the 720p is an option again. You can see how this is fairly inconvenient and I was hoping there was a simple solution to this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Try to go to the media player menu and see on the av settings, weather you have selected 720p on the component out or 720p on HDMI out.
It should be 720p HDMI out. This should resolve the problem.
