Pioneer Receiver (Elite) problem

Hi..

I've had a Pioneer Elite VSX-09TX receiver for several years and it has worked fine.

However, recently - when playing a DVD (or watching tv) in either THX or Dolby mode, I get perfect sound... except voices... which are almost muted. If I switch to DSP or stereo mode... I get both regular sound and the voices just fine.

I haven't made any changes recently and I'm at a loss..

Has anyone ever heard of this or provide any suggestions on how this can be fixed?

Have you changed the setting on the center channel? Also is your source 2 channel? If you have a surround back button or setting be sure it's on. You can recalibrate your speakers again and see if that helps.
