I heard those at the AH Orlando GTG, they were impressive. The coaxial driver is good idea.
They have another speaker line that's above the EX line; that look like the are made to compete with B&W

Those look fantastic. My next speaker purchase is going to be somethigng along those lines. I want something that will compliment my room... basically another piece of furniture. It shouldn't be so hard to create something other than rectangle.

For $6000 they are not really going to be a player IMO.......

Then again, what $6000 speaker is a player? At 68 lbs each, these things are as solid as brick sh?thouse. I'm guessing cabinet resonance won't be an issue with these.

Thiel has direct competitors for less.
The KEF XQ and even REF series can be had for less than that as well. Do you know where Andrew Jones, who designed both the TAD and Pioneer worked previously?

I'm guessing for the two manufacturers you just mentioned. ;) Do these competitors sound better than the Pioneers?

Good point 3db, and also curious that electronics specialists seem to be all or nothing.....ie $79 Yamaha speakers and $2,000 Yamaha speakers and not much in between....wonder why they dont target Paradigm, PSB and others in the middle since they are large market oriented?
