Pioneer PDR-509 Issue

Hey guys. I'm having an issue with a Pioneer PDR-509 cd recorder. It was working great in my hands. I shipped it to somebody and they're now saying that the cd tray is not opening. I asked for proof so he sent me a video. Here's a link to the video

So i do believe it. My question is, does anybody know what's wrong with it? I'm sure others have come across this issue and after pages and pages of searching google, I haven't been able to find a solution. The motor seems to be running fine when the open button is pressed. I'm not sure if maybe the tray is off track or what exactly. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

These usually have a small belt that opens and closes the drawer- it gets old and stretches/loses its elasticity, sometimes it breaks. It happens. If the seller wants to get pissy about it, tell them it's a cheap part and a simple fix. Have them listen for a slight buzzing sound when the eject button is pressed- if they hear it, it's very likely that the belt is stretched or it broke.
