Pioneer Elite VSX74TXVI Help

When I play a DTS disc through the VSX74TXVI of course the Pioneer automatically switches to DTS decoding and same routine occurs for other types of disks. Is there a way when I play a stereo disk to have it default to 7 channel play back rather than stereo?

Really need an answer

Really need an answer because the system has four disc changers....1400 discs and when I'm around the house 7 channel output when a stereo disc is loaded would be great rather than going back to system and change to that setting. Thanks for response....I think?

I feel your pain; event though it is just one button, it sucks to have to do it.

Remote Macros

If you have a Harmony or URC remote w/ macros, you can creat one for "listen to CDs" that will turn on the CD changers, turn on the Receiver and set to the CD input, Change to Dolby PLII or 7-channel stereo mode, etc.

My URC remote has RF so I can use it from anywhere in the house to control the receiver and other sources.
