Pioneer Elite vsx 23 Sub Setup help.

Ive had this setup for awhile but changed up the living room a bit. So i ran the MCACC setup with the microphone to try and get the best sound. Now my Elemental Designs sub doesnt wake up to music or sometimes movies. It woke up the other day to a movie but that was after I unplugged the RCA cable and plugged it back in. Even when i switch the settings from Memory1, 2, 3, Full surround, THX etc it doesnt kick on. only the other speakers get louder etc.

What setting am I missing here? My guess is the signal being sent isnt strong enough? Maybe im not looking in the right place or overwhelmed by all the remote buttons.

The MCACC set the settings to:

Fronts -2
Center +2
Sub 0.0

Hi, myke. Try turning down the volume on the sub amp and then rerun MCACC. With the sub's amp turned down, the Pioneer will send a stronger signal to it to get the same volume level - and that stronger signal is what you want to wake up the sub (just like you mentioned).
