Pioneer Elite DV-58AV SACD/DVD-Audio

Okay, I gave this thing a try - free return policy from Vanns Electronics (last month I gave the Oppo a try - also free return policy from Amazon.com).

Knowing that Oppo had to fix one issue with a firmware for the SACD of Celine Dion's All The Way (on the first track of the SACD, it would skip at the end to the next song), I gave this disc a try on the Pioneer.

Guess what? It skipped the same track on the Pioneer.

So I called Pioneer support and had to talk to 3 different persons - 3 different departments. They said I had to ship the player to Pioneer to fix that problem!!!!!

No, thanks.

Anyway, I called Vanns and will return the player tomorrow.

Well, I played that same track on 3 different Denon players and never had an issue.

I guess if you want the best SACD/DVD-A player, you better get Denon.
