I am interested in the Pioneer Elite BDP-23FD to match with the Pioneer VSX-21TXH, I can't seem to find any reviews on this Blu-Ray Player is there anybody that owns one or knows anything about it. Talked to a sales rep from Abt and I'll get a deal if I buy both. Just need some info on the Blu-ray player Thanks guys.

The big negative I have heard is "slow load times".

Why not just get the OPPO, since it seems to be the best on the market.

your best bet for hands on reviews, go here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1142263&page=25 ive read through soo many pages on that about the BD player, ive went into the store and tested the 320 out, yes it is very slow, but if your not in a hurry or dont mind those slow load times, then it is a geat BD player, just read all the reviews on it in that link i sent you!

I have a BDP-51fd, and most would consider it to have slow load times. I'm usually up piddling around with the lights and getting situated while the load times are going on, and rarely am I sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for the movie to start. The Oppo is super nice too. I guess it depends on how much of a deal they are going to give you. I certainly wouldn't pay more for the Pio than the Oppo. The difference is really a cost-justification decision on your part.

very true, ive heard for the price difference its not worth it, depending on how much you find each. and like mperct said, you start the BD player up, and get sorted out, you wont find it bothering you, but if you sit and wait, its a tad bit of a pain, but to me, not enought to steer you away if you want good PQ and AQ.

Or, during that slow load time you could just listen to music waiting for the movie to start:D What a deal.:D

I was talking to a sales rep from Abt and if I bought the combo I would get the BPD for $430 and the 21 for $616 something to do with customer appreciation day sales they were having 2 months ago but I would still get them at that price if I bought both.
