Pioneer DV-563A and Denon 3805

Hi there,

Is the Denon 3805's DSD indicator suppose to lit up when playing a DSD disc using a Pioneer DV-563A? It's hookup using the optical-out and the 5.1 analog connectors. Thanks.

Nope- DSD can't be passed through the optical cable. Actually, the Pioneer you have won't pass a hi rez digital signal from SACD or DVD-A.
