Pioneer BDP-51FD problem, owners please enter

Here we go,

BDP-51fd into Marantz sr7001 via hdmi 1.3 then outputing the marantz via hdmi 1.3 into Samsung lnf530.

The problem is, during play back the screen will go blank, then will say searching for signal, then the movie will play again. This will repeat about three times over the course of a movie.


Marantz did tell me once that they had a known issue with Marantz receivers outputing via hdmi into Samsung lcds'. A firmware update fixed that problem.

Help the wife is going to kill me.

I would start by disconnecting and reconnecting all the HDMI cables. I've seen handshake issues be fixed by something as simple as that. I had problems with my set and my former Toshiba HD-A30 through a monoprice HDMI switch.

Also worth mentioning, my said that see seems to notice this happening during loud segments of a movie.
