Pioneer 5020FD purchase?

I need some advice on purchasing a new plasma TV.
Now that Pioneer has announced they are dropping out of TV production would it be a good idea to to purchase a Pioneer 5020FD? Does anyone think repair parts may not be available in the coming years? Or should I go with a Panasonic 50PZ800u or a 50PZ850U?

I'm sure Pioneer is well stocked with replacement parts..Besides, i havent herd/seen many people having to send their sets back for repairs..

I think I will wait a few more days to see if the price drops to the $1700.00 range. Thanks to all who replied.

your not alone..im waiting for the 1800 mark...i cant imaginee this tv at 17 new! i know the people who paid over 2 must be pissed
