My dad has a pair of Pinnacle SuperSonic's in his home theater. I've never been a fan, but, I guess he got them at a good deal.
Anyways, I'm doing some work on his home theater and I started to notice that the Pinnacle's pop very loudly sometimes when they first get signal. Apparently they have done this since he has owned them. It's a difficult sound to describe, it's a mixture of a pop and a boom. It doesn't seem to harm the subwoofer, but, it's still not right (especially for what those things cost)
Anyone know what this is? I've heard it in other subwoofers before too, but never so loud and pronounced.
