A water snake hanging around the trailer.

eastern musk turtle or affectionaltely known as the stinkpot turtle due to its release of stink when frightened. I guess I got lucky.

Osprey's nest. I heard the chicks before I spotted the nest which is the top structure on tree in the bottom pic. You can see one of the parents flying around the nest in the pic before it.

Watch out for those critters that have "stink" in their names. I hit a skunk with my car about a month back. I didn't kill it, but gave it a headache as I couldn't stop in time. Damn thing sprayed the front and underside of car. It's better, but I can still get whiffs of it when it's hot out.

@3db That whole stretch from Gravenhurst east to Brockville is incredible. Must be thousands of small lakes in that area. Nice photos. I haven't seen anything bigger than a garter snake in years although there are massasauga rattlers along the Bruce Trail.
