Picking out a receiver

Hello,

I've been upgrading and getting serious about sound quality. I perfer music over movies. I've upgraded the speakers and I'm looking to replace a very low end Sony receiver with a higher end one. The main features I'm looking for is to bi-amp my front channel speakers, good 2 channel performance and Audessy room correction for surround use. My front speakers are Kef XQ 40's and have a sensetivity of 90db so power isn't a huge concern. I'm looking at spending around $1,500. I'll go higher for something exception.

I know this is a loaded question with no real answer, just strong opinion. But I'm looking for input so feel free to let me know what you think. I'm leaning toward a Marantz SR7005 or a Integra 50.2 right now.

Thanks and have a good day!

I really like my Denon AVR-3311 CI...I cant speak for the Marantz. Every Onkyo i've owned, I've loved. I think Integra is a higher end Onkyo? I've not had to make use of Denon or Onkyo warranty departments before so I can't speak of those either.

I can say those for fact though: MultEQ XT is far superior to that of 2EQ. I think you're on the right track there for room correction. :)
