Phono Preamp question

For several years TLS Guy used to recommend the Audio Technica PEQ3 as a good performing but inexpensive phono preamp/RIAA equalizer. I took his advice and got one when I switched to a receiver that lacked a built-in preamp. I have been happy with it.

I've noticed recently that this preamp does not seem to be available anymore. But just the other day I noticed that Amazon offers a Japanese import version:

Is the Japanese import version the same as what used to be sold in the US?

It looks the same, but I of course I can't be certain. The probability of them being the same is high.
