Today, woot.com has a refurbished Philips HTS3544 5.1 HThiB for $99.99 (+$5 shipping). This does not include a real receiver but an upscaling DVD player with a few minor audio inputs including SPDIF for cable/sat boxes. The DVD player does play mp3's--nope no FLAC's. This is still an okay unit for someone wanting basic surround sound on a really low budget. Just don't expect this to beat any Wilson's or Von Schweikert's (or Polks, Yamaha, Boston Acoustics, etc.) in the audio dept.
