The movie opens with a totally off topic LIB political rant. Halle works for a newspaper, and gets dirt on a GOP sex scandal......then GOP powers convinced the paper not to run the story Yea right..... Like that's gonna happen They also toss in an anti-Iraq rant for good measure at the very beginning.

The thing is......this had absolutely nothing to do with the plot of the movie itself. It was so totally out of place.........I guess unless you're a kook Hollywood liberal wanting to make a statement. Besides the LIB-SLIME political opening that was irrelevant to the plot, the movie itself was a decent thriller.

Bruce, Giovanni, and Halle all put on good performances once they moved beyond the off topic bullshit. It's a decent thriller to the end, with a twist. Halle being sexy= 1/2 star of my rating.

I saw it when it was in the theaters. It was ok but the plot lacked something that would have made it much better. What it was missing I can't put my finger on right now. I would not consider it as a prime rental (IMHO) but maybe a backup if what you are wanting to watch is already rented out.

Oh geez...

I forgot to add, after the plot of the movie was decided and the movie was over........... just before closing credits rolled.... a headline rolled... "GOP endorses Candidate for office". And of course, it was the same guy who's sex scandal was supposedly squashed by the very same GOP...... and it had absolutely nothing to do with the movie

I agree with cmusic. This movie was nothing to write home about, but worth watching if you're desperate for a movie.

I have since broken my review down further.

The movie itself................1.5 stars
+Halle being sexy..........1/2 star
+Good Movie ending..........1/2 star
+I'm a sucker for Willis movies.... 1/2 star
