PCM and Bitstream (TrueHD)

great answer... i wonder what I have my PS3 set to............ I thought I had it sent to send NOT bistream... this might be the problem that I have.

So I just checked and my PLS3 is set to output bistream but the receiver is still displaying a PCS logo... any idea why?

...I myself notice a better, detailed and clear sound when I did the change, but only if your receiver can handle it.

To my ears, is the other way' round, as I notice a better overall sound when setting the Oppo-80 do LPCM and that means the player is doing a better deconding than the AVR.
