I just heard this while watching the F1 qualifying.

I like many of his movies (esp Cool hand Luke) and he did quite a bit of philanthropy work.

He will be missed.

Yeah. He was a very good actor. I don't know why, but I always think of The Color of Money, when I hear his name.:)

Of course there's his racing legacy as well (Newman/Haas).

This is sad news. He struck as both a great actor and a good man.

I was wondering when this was going to happen. Time to break out 'Slap Shot' (again!).

"Cool Hand Luke", "The Sting", "Road to Perdition".

My fave Newman films. The last one isn't generally considered in the same league as the first two, but I love it.

He was a good man who led a long, successful, and apparently happy life. Good for him.

+1

I LOVED his role in The Hudsucker Proxy. I particularly love the image when time is frozen for a bit, and he sits still in mid maniacal laugh with cigar in hand, IIRC. Don't worry it doesn't ruin the movie one bit.

Yeah, I read this in my local paper just this morning. What a long career. Really liked him when he starred with Robert Redford. My thought and prayers go out to his family and friends. RIP! :(:(

Cheers,

Phil

I really like some of his products. I was fortunate enough to get to see him race a few times also. He was big into his team and racing in general. With him being sick so much lately, it was just a matter of time but it is no less saddening as a result. RIP Paul.

I thank him and his family for his service to our country during WWII.

He was a great man. My favorite movie he starred in was also Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

RIP,
Tommy
