Parallel 4 wire speaker connection

Hi,
I have 4 core 14 guage speaker cable to each speaker in a home theatre. My speakers are 4 ohm M&K THX certified and do not use bi-wiring. Connecting the 2 pairs of conductors in each cable would reduce the cable impedance to the speakers. Would this cause any detrimental effect to sound due to frequencies etc.?

Ron;

You will in a sense lower the effective DC resistance of the cable from 14AWG to 11AWG which is a good thing. However, you will double the pair to pair capacitance. Not sure what your cable capacitance is and lengths you are using to make an educated judgement. If you are using zip cord, you will probably be ok.

Thanks Gene.
I am using Sound & Image low loss and high resolution speaker install cable. This is manufactured in Australia.
I have asked them for detailed specifications, the only ones that I have is that each conductor is 44 strands of .19mm with an OD of 7mm oxygen free cable.
The length of cable from amp to each speaker is 30feet.
