I would like to see Audioholics run a test on this sub because of its claimed low 18Hz bass response from a 10" driver and the unique enclosure surround it. It looks very intriguing.

Sure it will hit 18hz. It will be at 50db in a small closet when it does but it will hit it.

Paradigm and Def Tech cannot be equated in terms of measurements. Its analogous to saying Salk uses the same methodoly of measurement as Def Tech.

"DIN 45 500. Indicates -3 dB in a typical listening room."

I found a Soundstage review where they stated that this DIN Standard includes nominal room gain. They further suggested that it was roughly equivalent to the -10dB point in an anechoic chamber (at least for the speakers under review - older version of S-8).
