How do Paradigm subs match up against the other brands? I recently purchased the PDR 12 sub. Any thoughts?
Thanks :)

Sorry, Mike; I've never had the opportunity to listen to a Paradigm sub. But judging from the number of positive reviews on it from magazines, I'd say you did quite well.

Paradigm has reprints of the many reviews on their website, and several of the magazines compare the PDR12s to other speakers above and below its price range.

I tend to agree with Corey Greenberg's reviews, and he wrote favorably about the PDR12s. It was one of Corey's articles years ago that led me to my current NHT speakers.

Some friends who I helped out on selecting equipment purchased a PW 2200 to go with some Studio 60's. It was get the Studio 100's and no sub or the Studio 60's and a good sub. All in all, I did not hear better speakers then the Paradigms. Subs are one of those things that I like in the movies and maybe a little in my music but so much that it makes the CD player skip and the metal in the room resonate. I personally own a Velodyne 12" from 1988 and it's still playing strong and admittedly, a bit boomy.

The Paradigm subs that I've listened to -the PDR and PW series- were very good for the price. I felt the PW was a little nicer sounding.
The only direct comparison I have done was between Paradigm PW and B&W CM. The B&W was a bit more accurate sound, but also cost more.
