Hello everyone..i heard that its better to have 2 identical subs but if the specs are close to the same would it be good to add the new sub12(paradigm) with the seismic12 i already own??

From what I've heard, if the two subs are of a similar design, ie sealed with a similar volume and driver, you should be good.

well they are not the same design the seismic12 is down firing(1500watts rms...4500peak) low extention at 17hz... and the sub12 front firing(1700watts rms...3700peak) low extention at 16hz!

I just looked up the sub12. Nice sub. I don't know about pairing those two together. Maybe someone with more experience could help you.

If you feel your seismic12 is lacking, why not sell it and get an SVS PB13 Ultra? That thing should comfortably outperform the sub12. (Im basing this assumption on the fact that the 13 ultra outperforms the Servo15)

If you actually do consider selling your seismic12 let me know, I have a friend looking for a used one.

lol..you got me wrong the seismic12 is not lacking im very pleased with it and is quite impressive for a compact sub its a little beast!..the thing is i want 2 subs..i would have buy another seismic 12 in the future but i think they will be discontinued by the time i can get it..the new sub12 and sub15 are replacing the seismic and even servo series i think

gotcha. I would probably just check for used seismic 12's once they get discontinued. You'd be best to keep two of the same, and youll save money.
