I live in a 100+ year old home where the electric is 2 plugs a bedroom upstairs if your lucky. My downstairs living room set up is my pride and joy sounding set up. Pioneer sc07, paradigm v1 p90s, and then the curve ball, an old pair of Mtx house 12s with horns, but I bought 2 fosgate car subs dv4ohm so I could get back to 8. I’ve always had a 3200 paradigm sub hooked up running Neo 6 music with whatever for a center. I’m 90% real loud music.
Now, I just stole a set up from a lady. (Rich lady, and I gave her asking price and said it was worth more to her). Paradigm studio 100s v2, studio center channel, servo 15 v1, and a marantz av9000 and mm9000. For $500. Not a nick in any of it. Looks out of the box new. My question is. I just hooked up the studio 100s to a denon 4308ci I bought for the kit. I’m asking if using the marantz mm9000 to drive the studio 100s through the denon , and throwing the av9000 in the garbage is going to be a better option than selling the marantz pair, or bi amping the denon. I haven’t had the studio 100s hooked to my sc07, but the 4308 doesn’t impress me power wise from what I’ve seen. Like I said at the beginning, I dim lights at -20 easily, so the post amp is going to be even more electrical draw off the same wall outlet. Thank you all
