this is my second posting, so thanks to anyone with any advice.

i own paradigm ps1200 and i'm quite happy with the sub especially for ht. i was told that the pw 2200 would be a better sub in terms of giving me tighter and lower base. for someone who has heard them both is there really much of a difference between the two when it comes to listening to movies? And what about music?

my main interest is ht, so keeping that in mind should i "upgrade" or not?

thanks

for movies, it would be better. music with the exception of electronic maybe. You could spend a little less and get another brand if you want more "bass" for you buck

You state your happy with current sub, but your also asking about up-grading?

IMO there is always going to be something better. The question is when personally do you feel diminishing returns kicks in?

i guess i failed to mention the fact that sometimes i find the sub a bit boomy. I would like some tighter base. having said that would the pw2200 be a better candidate?

thanks

i really don't have much of a choice of where to put it when it comes to location, right now the sub sits next to my front speakers

when it comes to adjustments i have my phase at 180 i put it there because to my ears the sub base sounded better at that setting, " does that assumption justify the fact that it is at 180?" i don't really understand the whole phasing deal, my frequency cross over is set at 80hz.

can you suggest anything else i can do in terms of adujustments to make sure that the sub will perform at its best.

by the way my system is fully calibrated, i used one of those sound meters from radio shack.

thanks.
