i went to an audio store here is wichita. i told the guy i was looking for a ht sub for under 400$. i was just curious to see what they had. he showed me a paradigm ps1000 and he said it retailed for 700$ which as i found they can go for around 400-700, anyways he said he would give it to me for $400 since that was all i could spend. it sounds like an amazing deal. this sub sounds amazing. it has lots of good reviews. i i might try to get it from him for 350. sound like a deal???

ps. does anyone own this sub that can vouch for its sound quality and output?

you said its sounds amazing, so that covers that. If it retailed for 700 and they will give it to you for 400 and you like it, get it.

PS 1000 is a great sub. I have a previous version and i have been always happy with it. I didnt like the cabinet redesign on the newer version though.
I have compared it to the SVS-10ISD sub. The SVS will go lower and louder than the paradigm and it costs only a little more. I did think the paradigm played better with music, but i watch more movies than listening to music.

If you can afford it, get the SVS.. if not the Paradigm will be good too, especially of you dont have a large size room.

awesome, ya i want the svs but it cost 30 dollars more plus shipping that will probably add up to 60$ or more. which i cannot afford right now. thanks for the help, i think i might get it.

I know of someone who recently listened to this sub a velodine, an svs ...

To him the more expensive subs were nicer, but he thought the Paradigm was a very good sub for the money.

I plan on giving this sub a listen when I want to add a sub.

I think the normal price on this sub is 400. That but I'll give it to you for 400 blah blah is sales speak.
