Paradigm or Martin Logan

Building new Family room addition. And finally getting to spend some money on speakers and a new dvd player.

I've pretty much decided on the Denon 2910 DVD player.

Can't chose between Paradigm studio 60's or Martin Login Montage's

Have a chance to pick up some Aeriues i's for @1300. Though having to with the Cinema center kind of shoots my center channel budget.

I'm looking at the Parradigm CC 570 v3 to go with the studio 60's. Also the Sesmic 10 sub.

Been wondering about B & W speakers in this catergory

Going to use Paragim Titans in a 6.1 system, Denon 2805 reciever.

Thanks, thegreenline

Do not go with lower end ML I would stay with Aeon i and up. Then again go and listen to each speaker and make a choice.

I agree about lower ended ML. I listened to the Aeon even and was unimpressed for the price. I think more conventional speakers are better in this price range. MHO

I prefer the Paradigms

I've compared Logans to the Studio 100's (not the 60's) and I definitely prefer the sound of the Paradigms. In fact I did not like the sound of the Logans at all...but that's just me. They sound shrill and thin when driven with a Denon 3805. I found this to be true with even the midpriced Logans that were almost $5000.

I've heard/read the ML's require finicky setting up and can sound drastically different with different electronics...on the other hand, people who like them SWEAR by them. If you listen to them and like them I would make sure that the setup is at least similiar to one that you can recreate at home and the electronics used in the demo are of compatible quality as yours. Better yet make sure there is a reasonable return policy.

Next time you might want to use some real electronics the drive them.
