I would like some expert advice if out there regarding comparison of two speakers. My 2005 Paradigm Studio 40 v2 and Kef R3” (not Meta). I have had my Paradigm’s as front speakers in my HT since 2005. I loved them then and still love them today although i admit that is all i have ever heard in my HT. So i really don’t know what better would sound like. That said, i have an opportunity to buy used Kef R3’s in like new condition at a good price. From a spec standpoint, i see V2’s might play a little louder but Kef’s are 3 way vs. V2’s 2.5 way. Would the Kef‘s be a noticeable upgrade to the Paradigms or stay with what I’m still happy with? I’m concerned the Kef’s would not make a noticeable improvement. HT is in a large room about 3800 cu ft. Input much appreciated…

The R3 should be better all around, but in the end it's up to your ears. The KEFs should have better overall directivity and less room fussy.
