Paradigm Monitor 9s?

In the next few months I am probably going to make the jump up to a better front/center combo.

Right now I have Yamaha NS-A100X and NS-AC40X combo and was starting to look (online so far) for replacements. It seams that Paradigm Monitor series is talked about very kindly in this forum and I took an interest in the monitor 9's or 7's depending on price.

so, what am I looking price wise to get the either the 7s or 9s(maybe even the 11's) with the center channel (CC-370) and what are some other comparable speakers in that price range. Are Polk, Definitive, Boston Acoustic (insert brand here) any good are is Paradigm the best bang for the buck?

I paid $1850 (plus tax) For a Pair of Monitor 11s, a pair of ADP-370s, and a CC-370 a short while back. All of them are V.4 I got them from an authorized dealer here in Dallas, TX ( Kellum and Son Audio/Video ).

I've only heard the Monitor 100's which are a bit more money($2200 a pair).
They sound incredible. I must admit better than my top of the line Polk
LSi15($1500). Do they sound $700 better? Well...yeah, I think so.

Don't get me wrong...I love my Polks...they were the best I heard for $1500 when I was shopping and at the time $1500 was all I could swing...but now I'm thinking I should have waited...

I was completely unimpressed with Def Techs. Didn't listen to Bostons.

You will be hard pressed to convince yourself that the 9's are that much better than the 7's. I just purchased the 7's (V.4) and I auditioned many speakers. I honestly could not tell much difference at all between these two. To really notice an improvement - you need to go up to the 11's or even the studio 20/40's. Don't even bother with those other brands you mentioned. Paradigm has "bang for the buck" all wrapped up. You will seriously enjoy these speakers ;)

The "$2200 Monitor 100s" You are referring to are actually Studio 100s. Paradigm has several different lines of speakers. Monitor is about middle of the road but offers GREAT quality and bang for the buck. The Studio is the next "line" up. And above that is the ultra-expensive "Paradigm Signature Series". All of these lines of speakers are great, but Monitor 11s was all my budget allowed.
