Any reviews. I am thinking about getting the 300 Series Cinema for my family room. Anyone have any experience with these?

What's your budget? These guys are OK, but there are plenty of options out there.

For cinema purposes, I think you can do much, much better for your given budget.

For example... you could purchase Klipsch RF-82 towers for fronts, RC62 Center, and RF52 towers for surrounds, and a SVS PB12-Plus which will sound 100 times better than the above.

If you plan to go with a bookshelf system on stands, the above system wont take anymore floor space. The sub is big though;) When it comes to subwoofers, good things do NOT come in small packages.

If small sound is what you seek, then go with small speakers.
My 2 cents....

While I agree that better overall sound can be had at this budget, I think it is a little unfair to dismiss any thin profile speakers as sounding "small." I listened to the Cinema series speakers in direct comparison to the Monitor series before I bought mine, and for movies, I thought they sounded pretty good. Very detailed and clean. For music, they were not nearly as good, simply because they lacked depth in the low end (a problem any thin profile speaker will have). If the OP absolutely HAS to have thin profile speakers, he can definitely do worse than the ones he is looking at, IMO.

Looking for

System with best overall sound. Need a thinner speaker. Are there any high end thin bookshelves that would sound great?

On-wall speakers

Axiom Audio and Paradigm make an onwall version of their bookshelf speakers that might pass the WAF. RBH Sound also makes some high end onwall and inwall speakers that might be in your budget. Keep in mind that the speakers will have the biggest impact on the audio performance of your system.
Also try for a 10" sub as a compromise of asthetics and performance.

jcPanny makes a good point, given your budget you could definitely look at the onwall versions of the Axioms (link) and Paradigm Monitor series speakers. I have the onwall version of the Mini-Monitors for my rears and they sound really good, and go deeper than the cinema series speakers do. However, I believe they have been discontinued (they're moved to the product archive on Paradigm's web site), but you should still be able to find dealers with them in stock if you want to take them into consideration. Here is a link to a .pdf file which gives the specs on the Paradigm onwalls and gives a couple pictures to show you how they look as well (link)

Another option to consider is Monitor Audio Radius series speakers, found here. They are very slim, offer many options (many of which are wall mountable), and come in a lot of beautiful finishes which would make the lady happy.
