Hey everyone..I am wondering if anyone has any idea if the cc690 v.4 and studio 100v.5 will match up. The reason I am asking is that I have the 690v.5 but I cant place my TV on top of it due to the curvature. Thanks in advance!

They should match up very very well....

You could also build a platform that will go over the top of your center channel and park the TV on top of that...

I had my 50" plasma sitting on top of me .v4 690 for almost 2 years, so its not an issue, until I upgraded to a 65", which I wasn't about to put on the 690 at over 200lbs....

Place your TV on top of your center channel? About building a stand for your TV and place your center channel inside the stand. Just make a simple wood frame to accomodate your center speaker and put your TV on top.

Like this:
........................................__________________...................................
.......................................[.............................]..................................
.......................................[.............TV............]..................................
.......................................[.............................]..................................
.......................................[__________________]..................................
......................................I--________________--I.................................
......................................I..[......center ch......]..I.................................
............................______I..[________________]..I_______.....................
...........................I......................................................I....................
...........................I..................Original stand..................I.....................
...........................I__________________________________I.....................

* You just build a new stand on top of the original stand, that will fit your center speaker, and put repose your TV set on top of that second stand.
I hope you got the idea.

That's what I'll do if I was in that situation (or build my own custom wood TV stand with center speaker and components cabinet, because I'm good at this).

Bob

P.S. Wow! Warpdrv just beat me up to it, quite amazing, because this is exactly what I was trying to draw while he posted it! Now you got the very clear idea, thanks to Warpdrv.

Hahhhahha Is this where we just say a picture is worth a thousand words...

I had a fun time building my TV stand, but in my case, getting stain that would match my Standout Designs color for the ash wood because it is so dark. I had to get a dye stain.... only needing less then a quart, I could get this custom color for no less then a gallon.... :(

But it looks nice to me... :)

Thanks for the suggestion...I guess I will go about expanding my stand, although I really didnt want to do this but then again I am not spending any more money on a new stand either(been doing wayyyyyyy too much "upgrading" lately) lol. Thanks for your help gentlemen.

contradicting what I said not long ago about upgrades...if only I could make a decision about an amp to power my 100'sand center now...so many options I have thought about

Anthem and Emotiva amps will go very well with your Studios. The difference is that Emotiva will save you a ton of $$$. Love what both of them do, but my wallet favors Emotiva.

Man, for that sweet equipment, I hope you have better audio sources than the two channel Sirius/Dish Network stuff. (I recognize that floating screensaver.)

Of coarse.... but it is nice to use that in the background and it also leads way to new music introduction as well... Thankfully the D2v upsamples all digital signals to 192khz

Another nice scenario with the Dish music... I can have my system on in my bedroom and the great room on the same material or change them both and volume on the fly with my Pronto 9600's for lowerlevel parties background music.
