I own a 2009 Panasonic 54" V10. I totally love this TV. However i have an opportunity to sell it to someone along with my Sony S550 bluray player for $1850. ( i paid $2099 for TV less than a year ago)

If i do this i was thinking about getting one of the new bundles from Panasonic where you get the TV + BD player + 3 pairs of 3D glasses + Avatar in 3D + a Fujitsu 3D camera.

Bundle No. 1 with a 54"VT series for $2199
or
Bundle No. 2 with a 58"VT series for $2699

I dont really care about the 3D part but just want the new Infinite Black Panel & maybe the bigger (58") screen. So i was thinking about selling at least the camera & maybe even all the glasses & movie too.

is there much difference between my V10 & the new VT25?
are the blacks actually better?
could i get much for the extra bundle products?
would you make this move if you were me?

Just wanted to here what you guys thought of this possible changing of panels!!! Thanks!!!

I'd go for it.

I could care less about the 3D thing myself, and can't say how much you would get by selling the accessories, but to move to a newer model for a few hundred bucks seems like a decent investment.

Sure why not?

Rising blacks are supposed to be better.

The AR filter is directly bonded to the panel, which supposedly is a big upgrade by itself.

The phosphor decay time has been dramatically reduced, or so I've read. This was probably intended for 3D performance, but it will also significantly help 2D PQ.

However, it's like every year when the new model is new hot thing. When the V10 came out, the accolades were very high.

Anyways, I'd go for it. If you can sell the glasses, camera, you would be very little out of pocket for a true upgrade.
