Hey guys!

I recently got my GIK panels and have been trying to decide the best placement for them maybe someone can help,

Of course the tritraps are no brainers 2 standing on the corners the other 2 along the side of the wall

But the 242’s on the back of the main speakers are they supposed to be placed exactly behind the speakers or can I center them on the wall?

Also should they be placed on the lower upper or center of the wall?
Can I make a decision based on how it looks?

For the 244’s I read about using a mirror, how big a mirror do I need?
Should I grab the one from the bathroom, I mean the wife is not real happy about this entire panel hanging thing I’m talking about.

I really don’t want to be playing around much with this sort of thing; my media room is all concrete so wherever I drill a hole is there to stay so I got to decide on where are they going to be placed permanently

Anyway here are some low quality pics so you get an idea, the camera is good but the lighting doesn’t help

TIA

I am leaving out of town right now, but emailed Bryan to chime in to help you out. Also if you would like email Bryan at bryan.p@gikacoustics.com to get some "one on one" help with placement. It is part of our service when you purchase from us. :)
BTW thanks for the order.

The paneis behind the mains are for dealing with boundary proximity effects when speakers close to a wall cause irregularities in response. Mount them directly behind the speakers and down relatively low.

As Glenn said, if you want to shoot me an email, I'll be happy to take a look at the room and will be able to give you more detailed answers.

Ok , it's been a few days since I updated the configuration of the panels , Thanks to Bryan @ Gik!

I am really amazed of the difference it has made , the highs are more controlled , the mids are more warm,

I now know what a sound stage is and the bass WOW!!!

you really have to try it to know what I'm talking about , the subwoofer has become a compliment of the set up just like it should , the boominess is gone and now I get sort of like integration with the rest of the system that leaves me satisfied of making the investment , you almost can't tell the subwoofer is on.

best upgrade so far!

Thanks a lot to Bryan and Glenn @ GIK

It sure is sumtin aint it?????:D :D

I try to explain that to people all the time on the phone, but it really is hard to explain something that most people never have heard. You know GREAT SOUND!!! he he he

Thanks for taking the time posting your pictures and kind words. If there is anything myself or Bryan can do for you in the future do not hesitate to contact us. Even if it is not about our products, but any kind of room set up question you might have. This sounds kind of cheesy, but our sale never ends, once a customer always a customer to us.
