Panasonic XR55K reciever...6.1 or 7.1?

ok i am going to purchase this Panasonic reciever soon off of Amazon.com...

i was wondering if it is 6.1 or 7.1?

also if it is 7.1 , would it b able to do 6.1 or maybe just 5.1 even if it is a 7.1 reciever?...thanks in advance guys!...

Panasonic's marketing on this product isn't very good. The manual shows it being 7.1. To use it for 5/6.1, you'll do this in the set-up of the receiver.

Yep, all 6.1 and 7.1 receivers are capable of being configured for 5.1 operation. IMO, I'd get it in silver though, because it is $10 cheaper and it shows as being in stock vs 2-5 weeks for black.
