<font color='#000000'>My Pioneer VSX-D409 stoped working last night,

When I turn it on the power comes on and everything looks good, but 5 seconds later.

Poweroff comes on the display on the unit &nbsp;and it shuts down.

I have unplugged the unit as indicated in the manual but this still happens.

So.

Whats wrong?
Is it worth repairing? (only 2 years old)

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Power off problem

You may need to check your speaker connections and make sure that none of your +/- wires are touching one another. It may be an auto protection feature on your av receiver. Check the manual in the trouble shooting section or contact Pioneer @ www.pioneerelectronics.com and ask them what they think.

I would also start the troubleshooting with the speakers cables but, I would unplug them all and see if it still shuts down. If not, it was a speaker cable shorting someplace. If it still does, you may have an internal short by the speaker terminals, or someplace else. Pull the cover and see if anything is obvious.
