i just hung a 50 panasonic (same mounting). i don't know the answer to your question but assuming you are doing this to save the ridiculous $400 charge for the panasonic mount, then look at the chief static wall mount. you can get them for $125 and they work fine. I would recomend you check the stud distance. most munts only handle 16" studs (mine were 24"). There is an adapter for this but it was $90 more. I just used a steel bar with 3/8" holes (from home depot $6) to adapt it. worked great. the chief comes with the screws that fit the panasonic (they replace the built in ones).
