Hi ,everyone
Desperately need advice from anybody familiar with my problem:
I have bought this Pany after my usual extensive research and couple of excelent reviews.
My first impression - except HD channels I am allowed to watch free from Comcast (picture perfect) , all others ,including digital channels 100+ are worse than my 10 years
old Sony XBR CRT set. I am talking about TV broadcast only (DVD progressive is very good). Everything ,except studio shots and commertials, look kind of muddy and has a greenish tint.I did everithing I know and capable: Have used DVE disk for calibration ,
reduced contrast below 50% ,tried to deduce the" colour" to kill green (but that kills all other colours as well) etc. Called Comcast with my complains ,but all theese guys sad
was "check you component cable ,if it was connected properly". Everythig I have said
about picture espetially pronounced in move based material: picture is darker and dimmer
than usual with abovementioned geenish tint. I hit the brick wall and do9 not know what to
do next. Here is my actual question:
1)I have JVC receiver , capable of swithing components inputs ,so I have connected one
set of cables to DVD player and another- to supplied by Comcast Motorola HD capable
settop box - is it possible that going through the receiver ,instead of connecting directly
to display could degrade the picture???
2)Cable to TV outlet I connected first to Monster surge protector input and output of
it to display - Is it possible that feeding the signal not directly to display ,but through
another electronic device could degrade picture???
