Hi there, first time posting, a newbie.

I have an Panasonic SA HT740 which has some neat speakers (or at least it seems to me) which are 4 ohms, but my home theater system that drives this doesn't allow any 5.1 sources :( So I end up using usual headphone input. So I am looking to buy new receivers that can accept at least some sort of 5.1 input+output (optical is fine, as my comp has that). However I can't find any receiver that can driver 4 ohms. I read your excellent guide at Connecting 4-ohm Speakers to an 8-ohm Receiver page. It still is not clear given my standing as a newbie:

* What is "low-efficiency" speaker? (precisely, are mine low-efficiency? :D)
* What sort of receiver system do I need to look for? My main function is clear sound from my system when playing some games and particularly movies. Onkyo / Yamaha in Amazon have some nice models in my budget (<300-400 $) however all at 8 ohms...
* In case I go with 8 ohm receivers something bad will happen? (other than the universe dissolving into black hole)

Any insight is welcome, and I won't be suggesting driving 4 ohm speakers with a 4 ohm resistor by a 8 ohm receiver, so you can go past that [:)]

(PS: I posted links above but it prevented me, so,... darn)
