Does anyone knows the difference between the canadian version and the US ?

Reading on the canadian site, Panasonic does not give any life span for their lamp that cost 600$ cdn (540$ us), and say the lamp life expentancy can be extremely difficult to know, and that physical shock or too many hours of running can prevent the lamp from working!!!!!!!!. A good or bad news is that I have received some advertisement from a big retailer chain offering an extra lamp free in the package.

Does anyone know, if the Panasonic projector has problems with its lamp, more than the competition, and what life span should I get using it in economy ot high mode ?

Thanks
Ardo

I think it is a safe bet to assume that the canadian projector is identical to the USA version (asside from the price). The projected life span on most front projector bulbs is 3,000 hours in eco mode and less in normal mode. I have seen a few posts on projectorcenteral.com about premature bulb failure, but this can happen with any projector.
I would check out the price on Visual Apex and see if the current $400 rebate applies to Canadian residents. The savings is more then enough to buy a spare bulb from US retailers.
