I'm looking at buying a new HT system. I am torn (more like stuck) between the Pioneer 50" Elite and the Panasonic 50" Onyx

Pioneer - http://reviews.cnet.com/Pioneer_Elite_PRO_1000HD/4505-6485_7-8443870.html?tag=coco

Panasonic - http://reviews.cnet.com/Panasonic_TH_50XVS30UP/4505-6485_7-31136258.html?tag=coco

I also looked at the panasonic PX500u and the PHD7UY - http://reviews.cnet.com/4540-6482_7-31136258-4.html?tag=tab

Aslo the Pioneer PDP-5050 - http://reviews.cnet.com/4540-6482_7-31136258-4.html?tag=tab

I was wondering if there is any good input that will help me narrow the field. I like the black sleekness of the elite and onyx - it will look great on my livingroom wall, but the price is steep. I'm also trying to decide on speakers and HT components to go with the TV I choose. Any thoughts would be great!

Panny is the best bang for the buck. So if money is a factor, then go with Panny. It is a SWEET display! For Plasma I go...Panny, Fujitsu (if you have deep pockets) Pioneer. But that is just my personal pref.

One advantage of the Elite series units (vs Panasonic or other Pioneer displays) is a two year in home warranty.

ELite 1130 is better than the Panny Onyx.

Onyx isn't even as good as the new Panny's. Onyx looks nice, but Onyx is discontinued as it'sa 7th gen Plasma and Panny's PX500 is an 8th generation Plasma.

i actually cancelled my PX 500 order and snapped up the ioneer Elite 1130....****ing sick TV
