Panasonic ae2000 or ae1000 for $500 less

Title pretty much sums it up. I have looked at a range of projectors and I like the Panasonics. I would like some opinions if and why it is worth it to get the ae2000 for $500 more than the ae1000. Thanks.

I cannot speak to how much better the AE2000 is, but I bought mine from B & H. The installers who have installed 5-6 systems a week said that my system was the best they had seen including $30k systems. For the record, I put up a 110 inch Da-Lite screen, Klipsch RF-82 speakers and the AE2000. Used a high end Pioneer receiver. The clarity and colors are absolutely dead on with no visible pixilation.
