Panasonic 56" 1080 for under $1000?

I was going to wait for the "Superbowl Sale" on getting a big screen...but at this price I would consider pulling the trigger. Please chime in with your two cents

If this is the 56" new RPTV they just came out with, Sear's has it, at least the one near where I work has it on display. I've seen it and was not impressed at all. Even the sales guys don't think it's very good.

I was really looking into that one at one point, but the LiFi light engine doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be. It should last a lot longer than traditional light sources, but compared to the shorter lasting bulbs, they are saying the contrast ratio is pretty poor for a RPTV. 3000:1 CR is really not that great for a RPTV. Google it, you'll find a couple pro reviews and they weren't really impressed. Who knows though...maybe they'll find a way to improve it in the future.
