Panasonic 4K player upgrade

Hi guys, I currently own the previous Panasonic flagship DMP900 and looking to purchase the UB820. Would this be a downgrade or on par as it has a few more feature upgrades. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it would be an upgrade. Will have updated sound codecs. Picture quality will be better as well. I have the 820 and love it.
